High Wind Warning in effect for Watauga County from 7 am Sunday, January 20 until 7 am Monday, January 21. This includes Appalachian State University. Wind gusts up to 65 mph possible. In addition, 1 to 3 inches of snow and wind chills dropping to 15 degrees below zero also possible. Be prepared for downed trees, isolated power outages, adverse travel conditions, and dangerously cold temperatures. Monitor local media or the National Weather Service for the latest weather information.

  • Add Money: Add money to a Meal or Express Account by clicking on this link: Deposit Now.
  • Account Details: Students and Employees access AppCard Online from their AppalNET accounts. See AppCard Online for details.

AppCard Services Online is a separate third-party site that allows cardholders to:

Accessing AppCard Online

Students, Faculty & Staff

  • Via AppCard Services Online
    • Click "AppState Users Login Here" on the left menu
    • Enter your current username and password. You will then be redirected back to AppCard Online.
  • Via AppalNET
    • Log into your AppalNET account.
    • Select the My AppalNET tab and look for the AppCard Online box along the left.
    • Click on the AppCard Online Logo to be redirected to the secure AppCard Online Services page.
  • NOTE: Online account management is not available for dependents. Contact the AppCard Office at 828-262-6141 for account information or to make a deposit.

Guests

  • The card holder must first grant you Guest Access.
  • Once you have been granted access, you can log-in directly on the AppCard Services Online page using the email address and password that you received in the AppCard Services Guest Access email.
  • NOTE: You may change this password after logging in. Select "Change Guest Password" and enter a new password of your choosing.

Grant Guest Access

Card holders can grant Guest Access to up to 10 persons.

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Grant Additional Access" from the left hand Personalize menu.
  • Use this page to let your friends and family have access to your account.
  • They will get their own password and access so they can view your activity and make deposits without your assistance.
  • You may select specific areas of access for your guests. Simply uncheck the permissions you do not want to allow. For example, to restrict a guest from setting up Low Balance Warnings, uncheck the Low Balance box and save your settings.
  • You will need email addresses for each guest and a maximum of 10 guests may be granted access.
  • Your guest(s) will receive an email with a unique password to be used for login.

Make Deposits Online

Students, Faculty & Staff

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Make A Deposit."
  • This button is on the upper left-hand side under the Customer Information. You will be directed to a page where you can make a deposit using Discover, MasterCard or Visa.
  • Select the plan into which you are depositing from the drop down menu. Students can deposit funds into their Meal Account or Express Account. Faculty/Staff can deposit funds into their Express Account.
  • Select the amount. You may select one of the preset amounts or enter another amount of greater than $50. There is a $50 minimum to make a deposit online.
  • Enter the email address where you would like to receive a receipt.
  • Enter your Discover, MasterCard or Visa number.
  • Enter the Expiration date and CV number.
  • Enter your Name and Postal Code.

Guests

You do not need Guest Access to make a deposit.

  • Click the "Deposit Now" icon on the AppCard website to be redirected to a secure site where you can make a deposit using a MasterCard or Visa. This icon appears on the upper left-hand side and features a piggy bank.
  • Click the "Make A Deposit" button to access the deposit page. Enter the requested information to make a deposit:
  • Enter the student's Banner ID number. Please verify this number to ensure that the deposit goes into the correct account.
  • Select the plan into which you are depositing from the drop down menu.
  • Select the amount. You may select one of the preset amounts or enter another amount of greater than $50. There is a $50 minimum to make a deposit online.
  • Enter the email address where you would like to receive a receipt.
  • Enter your Discover, MasterCard or Visa number.

Report Lost & Stolen Cards

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Lost/Stolen Card" from the left hand Personalize menu.
  • You may then deactivate your card.
  • If you find your card, you may repeat this process to activate your card.

View Account Activity

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Account Activity" from the left hand Navigate menu.
  • Select the plan and month(s) you would like to view. You can view up to the past six months of activity.
  • Click "View Activity" and your transactions will be displayed for the selected account and time period.

Low Balance Warnings & Request Money

Low Balance Warning

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Low Balance Warning" from the left hand Personalize menu.
  • You may set up alerts for when your balance falls below a certain level. Email yourself or a friend or parent.
  • Select the account, a minimum amount, and an end date. When the minimum is reached, an email will be sent on your behalf.

Request Money

  • After accessing AppCard Online, select "Request Money" from the left hand Personalize menu.
  • You may then send an email to a friend or relative requesting that additional funds be deposited into your Meal or Express Account.
  • Select the account where you need funds, enter an amount, enter the person's email and personalize the message. Your friend or relative will receive an email with your request.
